Logitech launches tabletop camera powered by Sight AI

Logitech announced Logitech Sight, an AI-powered tabletop camera that works with the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini front-facing camera to intelligently capture the best perspective of meeting attendees and follow conversations as they move around the room of conference.

In today’s hybrid work landscape, in which 43% of remote workers say they don’t feel included, according to Microsoft’s annual Work Trends Index report, Logitech Sight is helping to bridge the disparity between hybrid teams by giving remote workers an “at the table” experience when they come together. with office colleagues.

“We are no longer all at home in equally sized video boxes like we were at the height of the pandemic. In a hybrid work world, a mix of in-office and remote workers increases the challenge of providing equitable experiences for everyone,” said Scott Wharton, general manager of Logitech Video Collaboration.

“Logitech Sight, when used with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, uses AI to solve this problem with a model that is less Silicon Valley and more Hollywood – the art of using multiple camera angles and direction intelligent way to bring remote participants out of the sidelines and into the room.

“Our customers have told us that this is one of the biggest hybrid work issues to solve to make ‘return to the office’ work better for teams. We believe, based on years of research and early customer feedback, that we have cracked the code to this unavoidable critical issue for organizations of all sizes.

As an AI-powered camera, Logitech Sight offers alternative insights – extending audio and video into larger rooms – to the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini camera at the front of the room. With two 4K cameras and seven beamforming microphones, Sight captures conversations and non-verbals as they naturally occur.

Later, Sight will enable RightSight with Smart Switching, an adaptive intelligence that selects the best view between the tabletop camera and the front camera, intuitively switching between camera views of in-person interactions and naturally following conversations.

By integrating with leading video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, Sight makes it easy to use hybrid meeting layout features like Zoom Smart Gallery and Microsoft Teams Dynamic View.

Compatibility with popular platforms also gives IT teams confidence that their smart room technology will continue to meet the changing needs of their hybrid workforce.

Logitech Sight is easy to install with included brackets and built-in cable management – an essential feature needed to outfit collaboration spaces in a flexible and scalable way.

Management is simple with Logitech Sync, free software that enables device monitoring, updating, and troubleshooting from a cloud-based interface.

Logitech Sight is backwards compatible with Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini, so this new technology can be deployed with existing video bars with confidence.

Logitech Sight will be available worldwide in mid-2023 with an MSRP of $1,999.
